A very scarce book, held by four institutional libraries only, rarely seen on the market. A series of twelve Gaelic songs from the Popular Songs of the Highlands. With translations and notes by Thomas Pattison and pianoforte accompaniments by Margaret Campbell Pattison. 

Songs included are The Lay of Diarmad, Gregor Macgregors Lament, Macgregor ORuara, MacLeods Ditty, The Boatman, &c.


CONDITION

In the original publishers full cloth binding. Externally sound with shelf wear and soiling, minor bumping to head and tail of spine, chipping to extremities, minor damp mark to boards. Ink inscription to recto front blank page dated 1889. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
