DESCRIPTION
The fifty-first edition of this work of religious and moral guidance, scarce in all editions.
Brooks (1608-1680) published a number of religious treatises, though relatively little is known about him. He was chosen to preach before the House of Commons in December 1648.
In this work, Brooks presents a series of moral questions that a Christian may ask, and offers his responses.
Baptist preacher C.H. Spurgeon wrote of Brooks, Brooks scatters stars with both hands, with an eagle eye of faith as well as the eagle eye of imagination.
Retaining the original half title.
With a former owners blind stamp to the half title.
