Beautiful, highly figured curly/flame/crotch bookmatched walnut(juglans nigra) top/bottom on fine walnut body with curly maple accent layer. Rear rout for controls with control cover to match exactly grain of back plate. Neck pocket is sized for a t-style pocket. In order to build light and stable, this guitar body has been chambered as seen in last pic

The top is bookmatched quilted walnut about 0.30 inches thick that has been routed with a "we the people" inlay slightly deeper than 1/16 of an inch(0.080). This pocket has been filled with a blend of epoxy + ebony dust to be black and stand out boldly. The bottom ply was constructed from a single plank crotch walnut piece that was cut into 3 pieces to remove the pith related defects that are often associated with this "rattail" type figure. There is middle ply of contrasting curly hard maple, appears as about an 1/8 inch white stripe on edges

Routed for 2 humbucker, volume and control knobs, and switch. 7/8 jack rout. Neck is 2 and 3/16 tele rout. Edges are routed at about 1/16 radius- only a slight easing- so you could add binding if desired. Please note my construction technique makes it possible to produce the rear control cover with an an exact grain match as shown so as not to interrupt the rear face figure

Handmade body In US entirely in shop/from "scratch", not fender, sanded to 150 grit. As a handmade item, this will require more work, and I would also point out in the last photo you can see one spot filled in the control cover where I drilled it for the screw in the incorrect spot.

Unfinished, photographed with light wash coat of shellac. Will need further sanding and work. Because of the chambered body, this guitar body weighs about 5 pounds, 2 oz on my scale. Last pic is the pattern I use for chambering body, not a pic of actual body.
