With numerous in-text heliogravures. A guide to the land of Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone, known as Francis of Assisi, an Italian mystic, poet, and Catholic friar who founded the religious order of the Franciscans. Assisi was a medieval hill town in Umbria, central Italy.
Written by Gabriel Faure, a French poet, novelist and essayist, noted as the author of many books about Italy.
Grenoble: Capitale des Alpes Francaises, 1925.
Illustrated with one hundred and ninety-eight in-text heliogravures. A guide to Grenoble, the largest city of the Isere department in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of southeastern France. The city has grown to be one of Europes most important research, technology and innovation centres.

Written by Nicolas Ries, a Luxembourgish writer and publisher, and Robert Hausemer, a Luxembourgish writer of travel books.
CONDITION
Bound in quarter crushed morocco with marbled boards, with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, sound with some discolouration to the spines with minor wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the foredge.
