Ive been alife-longspurs fan and my earliest memory as a kid was the 91 Fa cup extra time win against Forrest (Gazzasfinal game for us). Ive been collecting everything spurs since then but now its time to let go of some of my collection to genuine spurs fans like you!
I have for sale an OfficialVintage (I only sell genuine)Pony 97/98 season Tottenham away shirt in an adults size Large.
The 97/98 season started with exciting anticipation with new signings David Ginola and Les Ferdinand but unfortunatelythe first half of the season began poorly,and Gerry Francis resigned in November. The club was in the relegation zone when Christian Gross was appointed as the new manager and soon after he brought back a fan favourite in the legend Jurgen Klinsmann.He contributed tothe clubmanaging to avoid relegation scoring nine league goals and helping us to finally finish 14th. Jurgen decided to retire from playing at the end of that season and so bringing a close to a glittering career. The most memorable game of the season was the 6-2 away win against Wimbledon with Klinsmann scoring four goals.
Pony manufactured our kit for a four-seasonspell from the 95/96 season to the 98/99 season and this was the third seasons away shirt that they produced. Hewlett Packard was our shirt sponsor over this periodand their unique logo is positioned centrally in raised felt onto the shirt in a Gold/Orange colour (see item photos). The shirts main colour is navy-blue withaccents provided in white and gold/orange in the shirts collar, sleeve piping, short sleeve cuffs and underarms. The Ponytrademark is stitched in gold/orange on the left chest (see item photos) and the classic unique club shield crest that we had at this time isstitchedin colour with a gold/orange surround(see item photos) they both stand out brilliantly against the navy backdrop of the shirt. The shirt features a classic V neck collar in white with a navy and gold/orange pinstripe inlay which also used in the short sleeve cuffs on the shirt. The shirt is lightweight and ventilated so to keep thewearer cool and dry during exercise. There is a THFC Pony official merchandise tag at the bottom left of the shirt for authenticity (see item photos) and there is a small cockerel tag on the bottom right side of the shirt (see item photos).
The condition of the shirt is very good Id say 8.5/10 as the shirt has a few odd pulls/snags that to be honest are hard to notice against the navy blue of the shirt (see item photos). The felt sponsor logo is in great condition and so is thestitched manufacturer logo and club shield crest.
